Press release from the Humboldt County Joint Information Center:
A total of 515 residents of Humboldt County have tested positive for COVID-19, after three new cases were reported today.
Two of the county’s three risk alert levels – health care system capacity and disease control effectiveness – have been improved and moved from Level II or Yellow to Level 1 or Green. The shift in healthcare system capacity is due to trends in hospitalized COVID-19 patients and the availability of critical medical resources. The shift in disease control effectiveness is due to the effectiveness of community-based mitigation efforts and public health efforts to control the spread of COVID-19.
The COVID-19 Spread Alert level remains at Level 2 or Yellow, keeping the Public Alert Level at two or a Yellow level. Visiting humboldtgov.org/dashboard To display the district alert level assessment tool.
