Microsoft has announced exciting news for its Copilot Pro subscribers, as the tech giant unveils its new Copilot Chatbot builder, now available to all Pro tier users.
Developed without the input of OpenAI, the launch of the new Copilot GPT builder suggests a potential shift towards decreased reliance on the AI tools pioneer. Priced at $30 per user per month, Pro subscribers can now access a menu to create custom task-specific chatbots using Microsoft’s GPTs.
The builder offers a range of features including retrieval augmented generation (RAG) for specialized data tasks and DALL-E 3’s image generation functionality. One of the key advantages of this tool is that it requires little technical expertise, using natural language prompts for the creative process.
Jordi Ribas, CVP at Microsoft, highlighted that Copilot GPTs are custom versions with specific instructions for chat responses. Users have the option to either create the chatbots hands-on or receive guidance and input from Copilot to create specialized chatbots tailored to their job roles.
