According to Motorsport.com, Dan Rossomondo has been chosen to take over as MotoGP Commercial Director in place of Manel Arroyo, who stepped down at the start of the year.
Rossomondo joined league sponsor Dorna from the United States National Basketball Association (NBA), where he has served for over 15 years and where to date he is Senior Vice President, Global Alliances and Media.
Before joining the NBA for the first time in 2004, he worked in the promotions department at Madison Square Garden in New York and for the entertainment agency IMG. In the NBA, Rossomondo has also held positions in marketing, overseeing international business development and media sales.
New Jersey native Rossomondo is expected to make his MotoGP debut on the MotoGP circuit next week at the United States Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas.
