Intesa Sanpaolo will employ thousands more, in addition to the 2,500 already stipulated under the Trade Union Agreement of 29 September 2020 signed with Fabi, First Cisl, Fisac Cgil, Uilca Uil and Unisin, with the aim of changing generations without social implications and promoting people from the Intesa Sanpaolo group. Group resulting from the acquisition of Ubi Banca, through which at least 5,000 people were given the opportunity to apply for voluntary retirement or solidarity fund.

The banking group, after checking with trade unions about achieving at least 5,000 voluntary exits, intends in effect to accept all voluntary contributions in excess of 7,200 which have been properly received, and thus proceed, at the request of the trade unions, to A total of 3,500 employees will be completed during the first half of 2024. All based on the trade union agreement signed on December 30, 2020 regarding the treatment of 5,107 persons included in the business unit to be transferred to Bper Banca. The union action will be launched in the coming weeks regarding the merger by merging Ubi Banca into the parent company Intesa Sanpaolo.
