Pokemon fans around the world were dazzled when the beloved Nintendo franchise appeared on the International Space Station during the epic Space Sunrise event on December 31.
To celebrate the end of 2020, Sword & Shield players get a special version of Pikachu from Outer Space for FREE. Here are the steps you need to take in order to get the hang of it.
Pokemon Sword & Shield gets a Hungarian New Year gift
With the advent of the New Year in Japan, famous monsters like Pikachu and Raikuza have appeared on the International Space Station using amazing augmented reality technology. While closing the live stream without any major announcements from Game Freak, viewers were given a special Pikachu in Sword & Shield.
Fortunately anyone can claim it. The unique version of the magnificent mascot is modeled on the Kibo space unit that is part of the International Space Station. Impressively, the character carries Comet Shard, while practicing the Thunderbolt, Swift, Wish and Celebrate moves. It also has a special bar.
Players will have to act quickly even though the Limited Mystery Gift expires on January 15th.
How to Claim Free Pikachu Kibo in Sword & Shield
- Step 1: After Sword & Shield saves have booted up, press X and scroll down to the Mystery Gift menu.
- Step 2: Click on “Get a mysterious gift” and select “Get online.”
- Step 3: Specify “Pikachu’s gift from KiboAnd you’re done. If you have an internet connection, “mon” should be dropped into your game right away.
While some might disappoint them that the promotion is another Pikachu, the free bonus was a great link for those who joined the epic Hungarian live broadcast event.
As we approach 2021, it’s unclear if Sword & Shield will have more content in the future. But with Pokemon celebrating its 25th anniversary in just a few months, fans have a lot to delight.
