Auschwitz tattoo artist, which will be exclusively available on Sky and will only air on NOW in 2024 across all Sky regions in Europe, is based on the heartbreaking true story of Lale and Gita Sokolov. Lale (Jonah Hauer-King) arrives at Auschwitz-Birkenau in 1942 and, soon after his arrival, becomes one of the tattoo artists, given the task of painting the serial number on the arms of his fellow prisoners. One day, he meets Gita (Anna Prochnyak), in line for a matriculation number painted on his arm. For the two of them it will be love at first sight and thus an unforgettable story of courage and humanity will begin. Under the constant watch of ruthless SS officer Baretzki (Jonas Nay), Lale and Gita are determined to keep each other alive. Nearly 60 years later, Lil (Harvey Keitel) meets first-time writer Heather Morris (Melanie Lynskey). Recently widowed, Lil finds the courage to tell the world his story.
