He decided to leave anyway, despite the pandemic, and spend the fourth grade in the United States, in Ravenden, Arkansas. Francesca Paris, a student of Virgilio (where she attends the scientific title) participated in the high school program promoted by Wep. “I decided to embark on this adventure to test myself in a new reality and learn about a new culture, but at the same time have fun and learn the language better, getting to know people who are different from me – she says -. A great choice.”
Sharing the choice with family: “For me, it was hard to offer you this opportunity and certainly not easy to have a 17-year-old daughter away from you, but I can say for sure that it was worth in hindsight, I must say I would have done a year instead of a semester,” admits the mother, Annalisa. All the while, Francesca kept in touch with the Italian teacher, class coordinator and math teacher.
“I attended face-to-face lessons – he explains – what I liked the most is the school and the type of teaching: the teachers are very close to the students and what we teach is also useful on a practical level and not only on a theoretical level. The low study load allows you to play sports in peace and do other activities outside of school” . She obviously misses her family and friends. “After high school I would like to study architecture and thanks to this experience I realized that I would like to do it at a university abroad and live in another country – Francesca concluded -. Thanks to the months I lived in Arkansas, I discovered that there are different lifestyles and I would like to learn more when I graduate from High school “.
