Since I was young, I’ve always been a fan of cats (although dogs are lovely, too). However, my current property owner does not allow me to have a cat, so I agree to follow cute cats on Instagram. Given that I live alone, I have gone through a number of times during a pandemic where I thought, “Wouldn’t that be funnier if there was a cat?”
Well, you might still not be able to get a real cat, but Google search offered a great and fun alternative: 3D augmented reality animals. While Google’s augmented reality animals are nothing new – they have provided us with everything Easter bunnies to me Dinosaurs In the past – she recently announced that she was adding 50 new animals for discovery on her search engine. And yes, the cat snapped (cool).
In its video announcement, Google did not include an extensive list of new animals, although it did introduce some new animals, such as giraffe, milk cow, cat, zebra, pig, and chow chow. People more than 9to5Google They created an extensive list of their finds, and so far they have discovered 25 animals! Their findings include beagles, border collie, hamsters, hippo, bull, red panda, and Welsh corgi, though there are more.
For starters, Google’s augmented reality animals are radiant because the search engine lets you place them in your own space. It also allows you to show your new friends by taking pictures or creating videos for them on your phone. Finding animals is “relatively” simple (I seem very lucky). All you have to do is search for the animal on Google and then scroll down the page until you see a block with the option “3D View”. This will turn your phone into an AR “display device”, so to speak, and give you a real animal model along with sound effects. It will allow you to move the animal around the house.

Much to my dismay, the cat doesn’t seem to appear to me yet. However, I had the opportunity to see a macaw parrot and a dinosaur in my own living room. The penguin was my favorite, even if it never stopped making penguin noises. If you don’t know what to look for in augmented reality yet, Google has a useful page made with Some ideas.
If anything, it’s an opportunity to learn more about the animal you are looking for and do something different around the house while still being safe. I love penguins, but I don’t think I’ll ever approach one. Now, let’s see if you have found a Google cat.
