(ANSA) – WASHINGTON, Sept. 01 – Joe Biden has denounced a Texas law limiting abortion as “frankly unconstitutional” and vowing that his administration will protect and defend the right to terminate a pregnancy. “This extreme Texas law explicitly violates the constitutional law that Roe v. Wade established and established as a precedent for nearly half a century,” the president said in a statement released by the White House.
He adds that the procedure “dramatically reduces women’s access to the health care they need, particularly for communities of color and low incomes. And outrageously, it requires ordinary citizens to report anyone they think has helped someone else get an abortion.”, Which can even include a family member, health care workers, clinic office workers, or strangers not related to the parties involved.
“My administration is firmly committed to the constitutional law established by Roe v. Wade five decades ago, and will protect and defend that right,” the president promised.
