GP Australia 2017: Sebastian Vettel in his Ferrari won the first race of the season and made a fans dream come true.
At the start, Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes, in pole position, was able to maintain the lead with excellent speed. He was preceded by Sebastian Vettel, Valtteri Bottas and Kimi Raikkonen, who successfully defended himself from Max Verstappen’s attack.
On the seventeenth lap, Hamilton changed tires, switching to Soft. After a very fast first lap, Hamilton finds himself in front of Max Verstappen at a very slow racing pace, and this punishes the English player.

Sebastian Vettel of the Scuderia Ferrari changed tires on lap 23 and returned to the track, albeit only slightly, ahead of Verstappen and Hamilton, still in the fray. Now Sebastian Vettel is in the lead, ahead of Hamilton. Then the other two Mercedes and Ferrari drivers follow.
Sebastian Vettel wins the first race of the season, ahead of the Mercedes duo. For Ferrari, this is the first victory since the Singapore Grand Prix in 2015. Moreover, this is the first time since the beginning of the hybrid era (2014) that Mercedes and one of its drivers are not leading the world.
