College Football Results, NCAA Top 25 Rankings, Week 6: No. 5 Notre Dame, No. 8 UNC tackles feisty opponents

Although Clemson’s # 1-ranked match against # 7-seeded Miami was the national leader on Saturday, there were a couple of ACC’s top 10 teams in the match, both of whom beat the Test before sticking to a # 5 win over Notre Dame state. -26 and No. 8 North Carolina beat No. 19 Virginia Tech 56-45. Fighting Irish and Tar Heels will be favorites to rise in the polls after Florida’s No. 4 loss to 21st Texas A&M.

After two weeks of vacation due to a match that was wiped out by the outbreak of the Corona virus and followed by a scheduled farewell, Notre Dame was hoping to resume from where it left off at the 52-0 choke of South Florida on September 19. But Florida, the team that started the third midfielder of the season in Jordan, offered Travis some resistance. Ultimately, Notre Dame’s crime was too much for the Seminoles as the Irish combat reached 554 yards, including 353 yards to the ground.

Tar Heels also found their offensive stride as they finished off a total of 656 yards, including 399 on the ground. It remains to be seen if either team can hold out with Clemson, but the Irish fighting and tar-heel are now on their own with the Tigers as the last team unbeaten in ACC after another wild day of college football.
