Not just F1 for Fernando Alonso, the alpine driver has always been very attentive to current events. For a month, the Spanish island of La Palma was in a state of complete emergency. The awakening of the Cumbre Vega volcano, fifty years after its last eruption, carries with it dire consequences. Lava flows continue to descend from the crater with heavy losses: 736 hectares of land were destroyed and more than 7,000 people were forced to evacuate.
