Visioni sarde arrives in Australia. The Film Festival dedicated to the best young Sardinian cinema will be at the heart of an appointment, with attendance, in Canberra at the Center for Arab and Islamic Studies on Monday 15 March, starting at 7 pm, upon the invitation of the guest of honor. Dante Alighieri Society of Canberra.
“The films brought to Australia – Bruno Culeddu explains – were collected and pre-selected in 2020 by the critics and experts of the Cineteca di Bologna; they illustrate an important picture of the recent film production in Sardinia.”
These are the suggested titles:
Dakota Dynamite by Valerio Burley. A young girl has been kidnapped on vacation in Sardinia. She will seek help from her favorite comic book heroine.
Simon Badry Tower. Marina brings back her work experience. The story produces a very strong emotion.
Let me go by Roberto Carta. Venenzio hopes to learn from the fugitive Antonello to become a feared and respected bandit. But something is wrong.
FOGU by Alberta Rax. The sacred and sacred religious ceremonies and festivals that are intertwined with the daily rituals of food.
The fate of Bonifacio Angios. A day filled with emptiness, myths, pain and fear. A man without qualities is looking for answers.
FRAGMENT by Angelica Demortas. A woman’s life narrated by memory and personal reformulation.
Gabriel Enrico Pau. In the midst of nature’s vastness only human weakness and the power of mystery remains.
VALERIO by Gianni Cesaracchio. Valerio lives on tricks and excuses, and does not care about his son and his family.
The short film screening will also be preceded by the promo show “Sardinia, Make sure to dream”, which showcases the multifaceted aspects of our culture.
The travel event benefits from the professionalism and full availability of Cineteca di Bologna, and in particular, Anna Di Martino, Director of Visioni Italiane.
