Miami Dolphins star Tyreek Hill’s home in Southwest Ranches experienced a terrifying ordeal on Tuesday when it caught fire while he was at practice. Thankfully, all family members inside the house managed to escape without injury.
The unsettling incident was captured on live video footage, revealing large waves of smoke engulfing the premises and a sizable hole in the mansion’s roof. Authorities wasted no time responding to the emergency, with Davie Fire Rescue, Broward Sheriff’s Fire Rescue, and Southwest Ranches crews immediately working to extinguish the blaze.
According to reports, the fire is believed to have originated in the attic and was mostly under control by 4 p.m. However, the full extent of the damage and the cause of the fire remain under investigation.
Hill, who was seen sporting a walking boot, was outside his home conversing with officials upon his arrival. Naturally, he departed practice early after receiving news of the incident. His agent, Drew Rosenhaus, disclosed that the fire was contained to a single room, but there could potentially be additional harm caused by smoke and water.
The Dolphins’ quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa, expressed his support for Hill and his family, emphasizing their overall safety during this distressing time. It is heartening to witness the support and solidarity among teammates, particularly during challenging moments.
Interestingly, Hill’s lavish property had been showcased in a YouTube video tour earlier this year. The luxurious estate, acquired in May for a staggering $6.9 million, boasts seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a heated pool, a spa, outdoor kitchens, a putting green, a basketball court, and two guest houses.
This incident serves as a reminder of the unpredictability and vulnerability of even the most privileged individuals. Hill, a talented athlete in his second season with the Dolphins following six successful seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, can now focus on rebuilding and finding solace amidst this unfortunate incident.
