Pennsylvania State Police is investigating a fatal collision with a dump truck, horse and pram in Lancaster County. What we know The accident happened around 8 a.m. Monday on Little British Road and Black Road in Little Britain. The area is a rural part of Lancaster County south of Quarryville, and the Lancaster County coroner said three children died at the scene. They were two girls and a boy. No names were released at this time, and Pennsylvania State Police initially said a total of four people were killed in the accident, but they have since adjusted the number to three, and the Lancaster County investigating judge said other people were also hospitalized. This afternoon, PSP issued the following statement: “After investigation, it was found that a horse and pram were occupied by (7) juveniles heading west on Black Road approaching the intersection with Little Britain Road North. A three-axle garbage truck was heading south on Little Britain Road. North and manned by one passenger. The horse and cart failed to stop at a properly installed stop sign at the intersection and the cart continued at the intersection. The truck collided with the trolley along the passenger’s right side. Three passengers the wagon was declared dead. All four additional passengers were taken to Lancaster General Hospital and then To Hershey Medical Center. The truck driver was not injured. He remained at the scene and provided the information to the PSP. ”

On Monday afternoon, the PSP issued the following statement:

“After investigation, it was found that a horse and cart with cart operated by (7) juveniles were traveling west on Black Road, approaching the intersection with Little Britain Road North. A three-axle garbage truck was driving south on Little British Road North and managed by one passenger. The horse and cart failed.
