    And in a moment of rebirth, awaiting new beginnings, the Consul General of the United States, Ragini Gupta, wanted to honor those who contributed to linking the United States with Italy, with the prize for cultural diplomacy, because “the pandemic has reduced the American presence in the country. The consul explained that Italy made daily relations and exchanges The cultural relationship between our two countries is more difficult.” This is the reason for the decision to open the new award this year.

    “The historical and continuing contributions of American and ‘adopted’ American citizens to the cultural and intellectual life of Bologna, even during the pandemic, are too great to be cited individually – Ragini continues -.     The award was also presented to the Johns Hopkins University School, “a school marked by heterogeneity and diversity – explains director Michael Plummer – nationality, intellect, ethnicity, and interests which is something we are very proud of.” Recognized by the Consul for the unique opportunity to study and live in a truly international environment which provides students with a deep understanding of the economic and political implications of international relations.
