In years past, Xbox FanFest has given the biggest Xbox players a chance to celebrate the latest Xbox games and play together in person, but the ongoing pandemic has made that impossible. However, Microsoft is moving the Xbox FanFest entirely online with a series of World Events, giving you the opportunity to participate in meetups, greetings, win prizes and more. In order to participate, you will need to register, and we will guide you through the steps to do so.

How to register for Xbox FanFest
To register for Xbox FanFest, you must have an Xbox profile and be at least 18 years old. It qualifies for anyone worldwide, although activities and contacts will only be in English.

From there, you will be able to see upcoming activity schedules and will also receive emails about new FanFest information. We don’t expect you’ll need to be there when the second recording opens like you did for pre-ordering the Xbox Series X / S system. However, it’s better to get the recording out of the way!
You will receive 100 Microsoft Rewards points for completing your registration, and more points will also be available for specific activities during the FanFest term. In addition, some activities are open to everyone, including those who have not registered, and they will have special rewards for those who have registered. These devices will be named Xbox FanFest Plus Ups. With Mixer discontinued, this could be a new way Microsoft is offering free gifts to watch press conferences and other events.
Xbox FanFest expensive
Basic registration for Xbox FanFest is free, and many of the events you can access will also be free. However, Microsoft said there could be a ticket price linked to specific events, and it has not come to an estimate of what that price would be.
You also get access to official Xbox equipment purchases that won’t be available to anyone else. We expect some of these items to be purchased, while others may be purchased through the lottery. Either way, you have to be logged in to know when the lottery will happen.
