General soil is generally made of peat (about half) that arises from decomposition of plant residues. It gives lightness and porosity to the soil. The ideal soil for flowering plants is made of wood fibers, clay, and compost. The clay retains moisture and the compost slowly releases essential nutrients.
For vegetable plants
The ideal soil for garden plants should have specific properties. First, it must be very rich in nutrients and must be balanced. The soil, even in this case, must be well drained because fruits and vegetables suffer from stagnation of water. And finally a pH which must be slightly or at most acidic between 6.5 and 7.
For succulent plants
As it is plant succulents that come from warm climates, the type of soil chosen for it is crucial. The soil we offer must be porous, so choosing to insert a portion of sand is a must. However, we recommend using a coarse type of sand to allow for faster drainage. Best slightly acidic soil: This feature is key because if the pH is excessively acidic, our plant may suffer.
