In the past few hours, Square Enix has updated the Logo to Dragon Quest XII: Flame of DestinyWhich made many speculate the arrival of some news in the next few days or weeks.
The new logo was found on the official website of Square EnixIn section Job advertisements. Although it is similar to the old one, it has fundamental differences.
Meanwhile, as we can see, the “XII” behind the Dragon Quest letters is much brighter and stronger than the old logo. The shape is the same, but the effect is decidedly brighter, aided also by the new illumination of the writing, which results in greater relief of the features and quite different shading: in the old emblem the light came from above, while in this emblem it is from below.
Of course the logo changes might not mean much, but there’s no doubt that enthusiasts are eager for news. Following the announcement of Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate in May 2021, Square Enix has provided no further information on the game, practically none of which has been seen so far. We only know that it will be using Unreal Engine 5 and that the story has been in place for two years. In short, we don’t mind learning more.
