Photo 88,173 new infections with the Covid virus were recorded during the past 24 hours, according to data from the Ministry of Health. Yesterday there were 30,630. The number of victims was 194, up from 125 yesterday. The number of recorded victims since the beginning of the pandemic has exceeded 160,000: 160,103.
588,576 coronavirus antigenic and molecular swabs were performed in the last 24 hours. Yesterday there were 211,214. The positivity rate was 14.98%, up from 14.5% yesterday. 471 patients were admitted to intensive care, 12 less than yesterday in the balance between income and expenses. The number of daily admissions is 57. 10246 have been hospitalized in regular wards, or 5 times more than yesterday.
The number of people currently testing positive for Covid is pretty much stable: it’s 1,274,388, another 83 in the last 24 hours. A total of 14,966,058 Italians have been infected since the beginning of the epidemic. The number of dismissed and recovered persons reached 13,531,567, an increase of 88,637 compared to yesterday.
