(ANSA-XINHUA) – BEIJING, July 22 – More than 42 million malware attacks were detected in China in 2020, according to a report on cybersecurity published yesterday. According to the report, which was prepared by the Emergency Response Technical Team of China’s National Computer Network/Coordination Center (CNcert/Cc), the United States and India were the main sources of foreign attacks on China’s cybersecurity in 2020.
The document states that the number of malware attacks from the United States accounts for 53.1% of the total foreign attacks, while 7.2% is attributed to India. The report also shows that the US is also the leader in the number of servers controlled by foreign malware that launched cyber attacks against China and that the country had 19,000 such servers in 2020, followed by the Netherlands with 2,083 servers and Germany with 1,923 servers.
