Paddy Valastro had a terrible bowling accident that forced him to undergo two emergency surgeries on his dominant right hand.
But, nearly two weeks after the accident, the 43-year-old Cake Boss was back in action as he trained to decorate a cake with his left hand on Saturday.
“Family time is the best time!” Said Valastro, who has shared photos of the feat with 3.9 million followers on Instagram, he’s left-footed doing it again.

In the photos, Buddy is surrounded by his wife Lisa and their four children Sophia, 17, Buddy Junior, 16, Marco, 13, and Carlo, 9, at their home in Montville, New Jersey, where he was recovering.
His team rested at his family’s wooden dining table and held the piping bag tightly as he ran the intricate details on the cake.
Wearing a white shirt with a V-neck and a single gold chain, Valastro kept his eyes on the cake, while his family watched anxiously from the sidelines.
Each family member also had a cake to decorate in order to turn the training session into a group activity.

On September 20, Buddy fell into his hand at a fisherman at his home’s bowling alley which happened to be out of order.
In a photo uploaded to his Instagram on September 23, he showed his mega squad while resting in a hospital bed.

He is now looking to months of physical therapy to repair the nerve, tendon and muscle damage he suffered.
“It’s really my primer now, but they say it’s definitely going to be a long way to heal … I have something in my hands. If a paper cut in my hand, I’d be disenfranchised,” he explained.
Buddy also expressed to the port at the time his concern that an injury might prevent him from baking again.

Despite his own concerns, his wife Lisa insisted via Instagram that Buddy “will be baked again, even if he has to use his left hand.”
