Title: Deshaun Watson to Miss Second Consecutive Game for Cleveland Browns Due to Shoulder Injury

The Cleveland Browns will be without their star quarterback, Deshaun Watson, for a second consecutive game as he continues to recover from a right shoulder injury. Watson’s absence will pave the way for PJ Walker to start at quarterback in the upcoming game against the San Francisco 49ers.

This setback comes after Watson already missed a game on October 1 against the Baltimore Ravens, during which rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson filled in admirably. Despite initial expectations that Watson would be ready to return for the 49ers game, his recovery has been slower than anticipated due to a bruised rotator cuff.

Browns coach Kevin Stefanski clarified that while there are no tears in Watson’s shoulder and it remains structurally intact, the injury has hindered his ability to effectively throw the ball. As a result, the team and the coaching staff have made the decision to give him more time to heal and regain his full range of motion.

To fill the void left by Watson’s absence, the Browns have signed PJ Walker to their practice squad. Walker brings previous experience as a starter for the Carolina Panthers, providing the team with a viable option under center.

In addition to Watson’s injury, the Browns will face another challenge as All-Pro left guard Joel Bitonio has been ruled out for the game due to a knee injury. Bitonio’s absence will be felt in the offensive line’s blocking and protection schemes, posing a significant challenge against a formidable 49ers defense.

However, there is some positive news on the injury front, as tight end David Njoku is listed as questionable for the upcoming game. Njoku had suffered burn injuries but managed to play through the pain in the previous game against the Ravens. His potential return would provide a much-needed boost to the Browns’ offensive arsenal.

As the Cleveland Browns prepare to take on the San Francisco 49ers without their star quarterback and left guard, all eyes will be on PJ Walker as he steps in to lead the offense. With the Browns hoping for a speedy recovery for their injured players, the team remains determined to overcome these setbacks and secure a victory in their next matchup.
