Imola, May 27, 2023 – F1 Authentics – owned by UK-based sports memorabilia specialist Memento Exclusives – has partnered with Formula 1, Pirelli, Ferrari Trento, Automobile Club d’Italia and Formula Imola to raise funds for the Emilia-Romagna region for regional security and civil protection. This follows the €1 million donation made by Formula 1 last Friday.
The 2023 Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix was scheduled to take place over the weekend of May 19-21, but due to severe flooding, which had a devastating effect on the community, Formula 1 made the decision not to go ahead with the event at Imola.
The decision was met with support from across the sport, avoiding increasing pressure on emergency services and resources to support those affected by the floods in the area.
There are a variety of exclusive items in the F1 Authentics auction that have been donated, and all proceeds will go towards helping those affected in the Emilia-Romagna region.
F1’s global partner, Pirelli, will sell the official Pole Position award that would have been awarded to Pullman at the Imola race. Exclusive to auction, the award will be signed by all drivers on the 2023 F1 grid.
Ferrari Trento, F1’s official sparkling wine, will donate an official bottle from the racing podium. The bottle will traditionally be signed by the top three drivers, but in support of the auction, it will also be signed by the entire grid.
Furthermore, the Automobile Club d’Italia and Formula Imola will donate the four podiums that would have been awarded at the Imola race. This includes prizes for first, second and third place as well as the trophy that would have been awarded to the best designer.
All items will be available as individual auctions on F1 Authentics from 27th May and will run until 6th June.
