The COP26 summit, to be held from 1 to 12 November in Scotland under the chairmanship of Great Britain and in partnership with Italy, will be the most important global meeting on the climate crisis in recent years. Australia, one of the world’s leading exporters of coal and gas, is one of 200 countries expected to present an updated plan to cut emissions between now and 2030 at the meeting.
