1,032,884 tickets have been sold for the upcoming Women’s World Cup
It will be a record-breaking FIFA Women’s World Cup, scheduled to be held from July 20 to August 20 in Australia and New Zealand.
The growing interest in women’s football around the world is evident and is now more than ever supported by unequivocal data.
It was Gianni Infantino, FIFA President, who announced that the upcoming Women’s World Cup would become the women’s sporting event with the highest number of tickets sold to date.
We are talking about amazing numbers, more than 1 million tickets have already been sold, more precisely 1,032,884.
Thus, the global event to be played abroad is superior to the previous World Cup that was held in France in 2019.
Infantino comments on the extraordinary fact: “The future is women, thanks to the fans for supporting the biggest FIFA Women’s World Cup ever.”
The FIFA President will be the first bystander: “The movement is growing in the host countries and around the world, and I can’t wait to see the stars of women’s football shine on the world stage.”
It was immediately understood that this World Cup would go down in history.
Indeed, FIFA had already, in order to meet the growing demand for tickets, moved the opening match between Australia and Ireland to the 83,500-seat Australia Stadium.
