    Sydney (Agenzia Fides) – The “One heart, many voices” conference organized by the National Directorate of Australian Pontifical Mission Societies (PMS), better known as the Catholic Mission, closed today. Training sessions, workshops, moments of prayer, sharing, and artistic entertainment in these three days involved more than 300 people from all over the country, some of them virtually online. The priority of this biennial meeting is to provide content and experiences that can strengthen the missionary spirit by focusing on issues and challenges in which the Church is engaged. Truth, Collective and Reconciliation are the keywords for this conference which, on the first day, proposed the theme of inclusion and diversity, starting with the art exhibition created by the Performing Arts Group at the Sydney Catholic Schools Headquarters that was specially designed for the event. Celebrating in collaboration with the Sydney Aboriginal Catholic Ministry. Among the speakers on the first day was Bishop Shane McKinlay, Vice President of the Fifth General Council of the Australian Catholic Church. Her Excellency Kiara Boro, Australian Ambassador to the Holy See, opened the second day, which touched on the issues of interfaith dialogue, environmental transformation and the involvement of young people in the Church, as she stressed the importance of communication, care and concern for the Church. On the last day, the participants had the space to reflect and discuss the many ideas and topics that were covered in the past two days and shared their personal experiences in their mission, what they received from the initiative, and what they are committed to once they return to their communities.
