In addition to developing the previously announced expansion of Cyberpunk 2077 and the next game from The Witcher, there are also New projects not announced yetOne of them appears to have already entered an active development phase.
As we can see in the roadmap below, an unspecified number of new projects are mentioned that are still in the research and concept stage. However, there is also talk of active development of the game that has not yet been announced and Based on one of the perks From the Polish software house in the offices of The Molasses Flood, a studio acquired by CD Projekt in October last year and author of The Flame in the Flood.
For the rest, CD Projekt RED’s other commitments for 2022 are well known: we’re talking about development of the next The Witcher with Unreal Engine 5, a new single-player mode for Gwent: The Witcher Card Game, additional mobile AR support for The Witcher: Monster Slayer and a new release for Gwent: The Witcher Card Game. The next generation of The Witcher 3, which you probably already know has been pushed back to a date to be determined.
Another interesting detail that can be seen from the roadmap is that as far as Cyberpunk 2077 is concerned, Polish developers are working on one expansion. There is no mention of “expansion” in the plural form, which may confirm the assumptions of users who claim that CD Projekt has cut one or more of its originally planned DLCs. However, it is not excluded that the developers simply intend to focus on one expansion at a time for 2022. So we await further clarification from CD Projekt.
To stay on topic, the Polish development house also revealed the number of copies sold for Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
