The powerful trocar Harlequins has clearly expressed his preference for the future, anticipating a call from Eddie Jones
There is no doubt that there is plenty of talent in Louis Lynagh, a young Italian-born trocar and son of Australian legend Michael. What his oval approach has been missing so far is an international presence, given that after being called up several times for England in the last Six Nations, he has yet to enter the field with Eddie Jones’ side, so opportunities will remain open for him. This allows him to wear the jerseys of Italy (by birth) and Australia (considering the nationality of the father).

There has been much talk of these possibilities, but speaking to Rugbypass Louis Lynagh himself did the job of a firefighter by extinguishing many non-British hopes. In particular with reference to the fact that, for the final match of the Six Nations Championship against France in Paris, the young trocar was brought in as the team’s total player, ready to replace the latter in the event of a physical problem. So it didn’t happen, but: “For me it was a great experience to be able to travel with the England national team and experience the atmosphere of Paris. I will always remember the context of that match, my first match as an extra player in the team.”
Speaking about his future: “For me the most important thing remains to bring everything I learned with the Harlequins and training camps with England in the national team. I would like to play with this team, if tomorrow Eddie Jones calls me asking me to take the field for them, I will not think of To say yes for a second.”

Harlequins which was a bit of a ‘leverage’ for Lynagh who was busy going back and forth from various English gatherings without taking the field in the Six Nations: “It’s been an intense eight weeks for me, two levels of challenge. There was a lot of pressure and I think I learned a lot. From things even in camps with England, I know I have to develop to reach a world level.”
