We’re in a busy nine months from IPhone 13 Rumors that preceded the unveiling of the phone expected in September 2021, and the latest unconfirmed whispers that reached us indicate that the phone will come with some subtle design adjustments.
Usually known and trusted Japanese outlet MacOtakara Reports suggest that the iPhone 13 will have a smaller notch at the top of the front screen, with the TrueDepth camera more compact for the Face ID, which enables Apple to make the aperture less prominent.
The phone has also been set to be about 0.26 mm (0.01 in) thicker as well, according to the suppliers who spoke to MacOtakara, but it looks like the rear camera bump will remain as the camera unit gets bigger as well.
The rear camera unit will be covered entirely in sapphire glass, MacOtakara claims, with the same camera module on the iPhone 13 Pro as the iPhone 13 Pro Max – meaning optical image stabilization converted through the sensor.

Speaking of a smaller notch for the iPhone 13 Appeared before – As Apple is getting better at miniaturizing and packaging components more tightly, it makes sense that front camera components are taking up less space year after year.
Most other manufacturers still choose the on-screen pinhole design to accommodate the front camera, but everyone – including Apple – is likely looking to get rid of notches completely with In-screen camera technology.
