The Ministry of Health is responsible for removing restrictions in care settings. “In recent days, the Council of Ministers has sent to the Conference of the Regions a draft agreement to overcome mechanical limitations in mental health centers.” This was announced by Minister Roberto Speranza, at the Second Mental Health Congress, stressing that “this is an important condition of great moral value, responding to recommendations from various bodies, including the National Bioethics Committee”.
“People with mental health disorders continue to always receive inadequate answers. We must recognize that in recent decades attention to mental health has not always been equal: there are wide disparities between regions in access to care,” a view of services, in the use of Compulsory health treatments and in the development of the regional network,” the minister added, noting that “there is a lack of economic resources and difficulties for operators from many quarters.”
