Dr. Alessandro Pizzoli, 54 years old, graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Bologna, specializing in Gastroenterology and Gastrointestinal Endoscopy at the same university, until now, as Medical Director of the Gastroenterology specialty at the ”University Hospital of Ferrara,” He served as the Director of the Regional Program for Colorectal Cancer Screening, Inc. In recent years he has gained extensive experience in the field of diagnostic and operational gastrointestinal endoscopy, including endoscopy of the biliary tract and endoscopy, and is characterized by an important case history from both a quantitative and qualitative point of view.
He held various teaching positions, since 2018 he is an assistant professor of “Gastroenterology” at the Specialized School of Endocrinology. Alessandro Pizzoli has also coordinated multicenter studies on the use of the video capsule and is collaborating with the Institute of Genetics of the University of Ferrara to conduct studies on celiac disease and colon cancer.
