(ANSA) – ROME, Oct 29 – Eni closed the third quarter of 2021 with adjusted group operating profit of 2.49 billion, up 22% from the previous quarter, while in the past nine months, adjusted EBIT was 5.86 billion, with an increase of 4.4 billion euros compared to the first nine months of 2020, +315%. This is what the oil group announced in a note on the third quarter accounts.
“The excellent results for this quarter confirm the continued growth trend of our economic and financial performance.” This was stated by Claudio Descalzi, CEO of Eni, commenting on the third-quarter accounts.
On September 30, 2021, the installed capacity from renewable sources was 834 MW, nearly three times compared to December 31, 2020 (307 MW). At the end of the year, with the completion of the announced deals, the installed/under construction renewable capacity is expected to be 2 GW, a sharp increase compared to previous forecasts of around 1 GW, while the installed capacity figure alone is above an initial estimate of 0.7 GW to 1.2 GW by the end of 2021.” (ANSA).
