Antonio Boldrini, 55-year-old lawyer from Ferrara, CrossFit Red Wall Ferrara athlete, has achieved a major milestone by qualifying for the final of the CrossFit World Championships, the CrossFit Games, which will be held in Madison, Wisconsin, USA. From 27 July to 1 July. next August. After a difficult selection with 4 thousand participants, he managed to return to the twenty finalists, taking eleventh place in the world.
This is the first time in CrossFit history that an Italian athlete has qualified for the Games in the Master 55 class.
The event will be watched by millions of viewers thanks to TV coverage from CBS Sport and ESPN.
Antonio Boldrini, with a past level in athletics (he also participated in the main world championships in the long jump), began practicing crossfit only in 2015, and in a few years he reached the top of the discipline, winning some national and international competitions.
On this adventure, he is supported by all Crossfit RedWall employees in particular by two coaches who will accompany him on his next adventure in the United States, Andrea Trotta and Alan Pellin. The Covid emergency should not affect participation in the tournaments sponsored by the Nobel, given that the participating athletes have been given the necessary pass by the US government, because it is a competition of international importance.
