The Solferino-San Marco real estate complex has changed hands again. The insurance group Allianz bought the premises near the headquarters from Blackstone for about 200 million Corriere della Sera. The group would have acquired part of an area of about 34,000 square metres, more precisely the spaces occupied by Cdp, WeWork and the Bper subsidiary. There is talk of a real estate complex that will remain in the Delphine Fund, which is managed by Kryalos which today has 11.5 billion euros of real estate under management. The transaction would have, in fact, resulted in the sale of shares in the Milan fund between Blackstone and Allianz.
It is a change of ownership that comes after another real estate revolution for the complex or rather Repurchase at €59.9m by Rcs Mediagroup of the building in Via Solferinothe historic headquarters of Corriere della Sera. The newspaper’s headquarters were sold in 2013 to the US Blackstone Fund and in November 2018 an arbitration took place with the Milan Arbitration Chamber. A story that ended with an agreement whereby RCS agreed, in addition to buying back the historic headquarters, to pay a contribution of €10 million to cover the legal costs incurred by Blackstone.
