After overcoming the embarrassment of wearing a hair net and a helmet that’s not your own, renting a new electric scooter is easy and instant, at 0.29 cents a minute (10-minute ride, €2,90). The service promoted by Bit Mobility (which also has about 350 scooters shared in Bergamo) opened yesterday in Piazza Matteotti with the Sustainability Festival, one of the European Mobility Week events that the municipality wants. Cars (Italian) company Askol distributed throughout the city as well as outside it. This is one of the novelties, the possibility to leave the municipal boundaries and park the scooter in some areas of the municipalities of Siriat, Orio al Serio, Lallio, Stizzano, Treviolo, Cornasco, Corno and Mozzo. Work areas (and the presence of vehicles) can be checked on the Bit app, which is the same area used for scooters. You must be 14 years old and have at least the “fifty” driver’s license, the information to be entered in the “My Profile” section of the application by entering a photo of the driver’s license and taking a selfie while carrying it.
