With the launch of the Pixel 4a in August, Google Teased The other two phones that will make up its lineup of phones for 2020. Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a (5G) are now here, although Google also calls this last device with a slightly different name.
Many actually consider the non-flagship phone Google is being used by many Advertise Wednesday is going to be totally weird. The inclusion of 5G necessitates the need for a different chipset than the regular 4a chipset (765 vs 730), while the company has also decided to add a dual-camera array that features a wide-angle lens.
Despite these two major hardware improvements – in addition to the large screen and battery, it is still a device in the 4A line. Regardless of the specifications, Google in August teased it as a Pixel 4a (5G) – spoken directly. This is what was revealed in Launch Night In – though Without the bracketsHowever, the Google Store raises this label into question.
At least three places on the Google Store homepage refer to the phone as “Pixel 4a with 5G” – cover photo, product flagship cart, and custom card.
This is also the trademark on List of products In the upper-right corner. However, upon reading the page, you start to see “Pixel 4a (5G)”, while device accessories use that name as well. The Google Store top navigation bar also uses the brackets version.
Look at me Blog post launch From Google, it’s always “Pixel 4a (5G)” again, but the comparison chart included at the bottom refers to it as “with 5G”.
The plug-in “with” is a bit incomplete and extends the name of the device. Given the teaser, it appears Google has settled on “Pixel 4a (5G)” early on only to offer the other version later in the process.
This is a slight contradiction to the grand scheme, but it adds unnecessary confusion to an already odd piece of hardware and strategy.
