New Trailers: Resident Evil, Truth Seekers, The Queen's Gambit, and more

No spoilers, but I started Enola Holmes And I definitely love Millie Bobby Brown in it, she’s so charming. The right part of the camera which I don’t like usually (except for Fleabag!) Actually works really well to give us her inner thoughts. I’ll report once I’m done, but for now, it’s a refreshing reboot of the sometimes spunky Sherlock Holmes universe.

Here’s to this week’s new trailers, including a surprising new video teaser vampire A series that looks, well, terrifying of course (h / t to the edgeTaylor Lyles to find out about this!). We’re heading into October so the shows have been a little intimidating this week.

Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness

Surprise! Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness It is one of the upcoming “CG Animated Series” on Netflix. The teaser trailer shows Claire Redfield with a flashlight in a frightening dark room, Leon Kennedy rescues an unknown man, and of course, there is at least one zombie (maybe more than that, I guess). There aren’t many details yet, but it looks like this will drop on Netflix sometime in 2021.

Truth seekers

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost (yaaaaay !!) are back in a new “supernatural comedy-drama series” (I think Lol gets all kinds, I guess) as they play paranormal investigators trying to solve a strange mystery. Samson Kayo and Emma D’Arcy are also starring. Truth seekers Amazon Prime Video hits on October 30th.

Haunting Bly Manor

Oooh this one depends on The role of the screw By Henry James (Illuminated English Majors, Activate!), A follow-up to Hunt Hill House Series. Apparitions, a pair of orphans, a Victorian country house with a lake … check all gothic horror boxes. A haunted play manor It arrives on Netflix October 9th.

A world of calm

Well, it’s a sleep / meditation app-based series with episodes “designed to transform your emotions through enchanting music, scientifically designed stories, and stunning footage.” It features “Sleep Stories” with the likes of Maharshala Ali, Idris Elba, Keanu Reeves, Nicole Kidman and Kate Winslet. I mean, why don’t I think? We can all use a little cool because <موجات اليدين في كل شيء>. A world of calm It premiered on HBO Max on October 1st.

Queen’s gambit

Based on Walter Teves’ bestselling 1983 novel, The Queen’s Gambit tells the story of an orphan who turns out to be a chess prodigy, tracing her rise in the chess world as well as her struggle with addiction. Anya Taylor-Joy is really looking forward to it, and she looks amazing in this trailer. Netflix arrives October 23.
