The series will feature an episode on DigitalBits and Blockchain for Brands, and will tell us how major companies around the world have started using this technology.
London, October 28, 2021: Rakuten TV and VICE Studios begin production of a new documentary series that explores how emerging technologies will (and already affect) our daily lives.
The fantastic 5-episode series will explore 5 major themes: lab-grown meat, space cleaners, cyborgs, nuclear fusion and Blockchain.
So what about the future of the economy? The future is already now, especially in the context of what is known as the “cryptocurrency” world.
In the episode edited on Blockchain, the co-production (which will become part of the extensive catalog of Original Rakuten TV) will immerse themselves in this exponentially growing new concept, also known as virtual money, in all of its possible uses.
In this episode, Rakuten TV and VICE Studios will highlight the many potential uses of blockchain technology, following a narrative journey by DigitalBits, telling us how it is establishing itself as a Blockchain for brands across all sectors, including sports, entertainment, luxury and finance. And much more.
Teresa Lopez, Head of Content at Rakuten TV: As Rakuten TV, we are committed to telling stories that reflect our values: empowerment, optimism, and innovation. This series will take our users to a new dimension, consisting of 5 stories that will tell us how innovation is improving our lives and the society around us. The system innovation offered by the DigitalBits ecosystem is ideally linked to the storytelling that will be developed in this project.”
“We are delighted to partner with Rakuten TV on this unique project, with the goal of bringing new insights into Blockchain to our entire audience,” said Dan Bowen, Executive Producer of VICE Studios.
Al Burgio, founder of Blockchain DigitalBits tells us: “Blockchain and cryptocurrency are growing exponentially. It is a great honor to have Rakuten TV and VICE Studios, two great companies that have recognized the emergence of this sector and how brands have begun to engage with the DigitalBits blockchain with great interest.” Blockchain will affect the economy and the way customers and businesses use services or sell products. For this reason, Rakuten TV and the DigitalBits Foundation are validating new ways to collaborate in most areas.
The series is produced by Dan Bowen. Rakuten TV will arrive in 2022 and is available for free and exclusively on the platform in all 43 European countries where the platform works with its streaming services.
